with destructive wars

landslides in heavy rain
polluting rivers
nets scraping ocean beds

paint lilies appear in autumn
lorikeets screech their praises
to the flowering gumtrees
footsteps noiseless on the forest floor

ReplyDeleteLovely photo of happy lorikeets in your garden. They've got it right, eating, drinking, sheltering (in the gum trees) and hopefully staying safe. We can take a leaf out of their book. ld
